Burble - Wilbur
Burble - Wilbur
The first Burble came about quite organically and also in such a clandestine way; I was feeling a bit of a creative block/boredom and so just started to fidget and play with some clay and, lo and behold, a Burble was formed!
I immediately knew too that they were to be called Burbles.
When I look at them all together I call them a gloaming of Burbles and, because I am a word nerd, I think it is important to share the meaning of these words that attached themselves so seamlessly to these soothing little oddballs. So:
burble: to make a continuous murmuring noise {can’t you just hear these little ones burbling away on a mossy forest floor?!}
gloaming: twilight, dusk {an in between/liminal space, of course}
I feel like each of the Burbles really do embody an element of child-like wonder and magic but also something ethereal and Will O the Wisp-esque while also being tiny, odd nature deities. Like, don’t let their adorableness trick you into underestimating their magic, magnificence and magnitude!
